What is sports massage?
Sports massage is a type of massage that is specifically tailored to sporting injuries or ailments. It is not meant to be a relaxing massage. Although it can become quite vigorous at times, it is not always vigorous. Contrary to its name, sports massage is not only utilised by professional sportspeople or people that exercise heavily. It can be used by anyone that participates in physical activity at any level and it can be very beneficial to your mood.
What is remedial massage?
Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain, injury management and therefore better health. This includes postural assessment, corrective exercises and orthopedic testing of muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons which will help determine the cause(s) of your complaint.

Who should consult a doctor before a massage therapist?
Sufferers of diabetes, recent heart problems, skin conditions such as eczema or warts, severely broken bones, and heavy pain killers to name a few. If you are unsure, you can always send in a request or call in to determine if your situation.

30 minute massage $40*
Each massage involves a brief consultation about your goals of the treatment and any current problems you are experiencing. The session will start with some testing of the range of motion (ROM) of some affected areas of your body and may conclude with a reevaluation of the same ROM tests and some prescribed exercises should they be relevant to your recovery/maintenance.
